Welcome from our Headteacher
On behalf of the school governors and all the staff, may I welcome you and your child to Brampton Primary School.
I hope that the years ahead will be happy and the values we promote in school will support your family values and help your child to lead a full life in the future. This website has been designed to tell you about the school and the way it works. I hope it answers many of the questions you would wish to ask and that it will help us to work together for the benefit of your child.
We want your child to be happy and successful in school and believe that this means parents, children and staff working together and supporting each other.
My aim for our school is to develop a learning community that we can all be proud of, which concentrates on doing the very best for all of our learners all of the time. I want your children to share worthwhile educational experiences in a safe, calm, stimulating and exciting environment, where people are tolerant of the views, opinions and beliefs of others. My staff and I will endeavour to deliver a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum, which seeks to develop the “whole child” and prepares them to be model citizens of the future.
We must also strive for academic excellence and aim for pupils at Brampton to make better than average progress when compared to other local and national schools. In short, I want us to be a school that aims high because: “Good enough isn’t good enough!”.
I fully recognise and understand the essential role that parents and carers play in making ours a successful school and if ever you should have any anxieties or worries about your child’s school work, either the class teacher or I will be willing to discuss these with you at a suitable time.
Here’s to a long and successful partnership!
Yours Sincerely
W.A. Parkinson
