Years 3 and 4 Go Wild at Yorkshire Wildlife Park

What a fantastic day was had by all at Yorkshire Wildlife Park!

90 excited children from Penguin, Puffin and Polar Bear classes and 24 adults set off on a beautiful sunny morning on the 27th February to see and learn about many different wild animals, especially the polar bears of the Arctic. The educational visit was planned to enhance their topic on the Polar Regions.

Highlights of the day were seeing the pride of male and female lions and hearing them roar; getting up close with wallabies who had babies in their pouches; getting eye to eye with giraffes who came so close to us we felt we could almost stroke them; tigers basking in the warm sunshine; cheeky baboons; playful otters; the huge majestic polar bears powerfully parading around their enclosure, a couple of them even taking a cool dip in the lake and of course time to shop for a souvenir of our wonderful day!

A huge well done to all the children for brilliant behaviour and being a credit to your families and Brampton Primary School. It was so lovely to receive an email from one of our parent helpers on the day, praising the children for their fantastic behaviour and manners.

The children were fabulous, the weather was stunning, the animals were amazing-the best day ever!

Thankyou to all our adult helpers on the day-both staff and voluntary!
